LMGT3 was introduced in the 2024 season in FIA WEC replacing the former GTE-Am class due to the high costs of the GTE cars.
Like it was at LMGTE-Am, LMGT3 is also a Pro/Am class with a merge between professional and amauter drivers.
About driver lineup rule, a minimum 1 bronze + 1 bronze or silver drivers are required. It's mandatory the bronze driver to the qualifying session.
