Hypercar is the top class in the FIA WEC. It was introduced in 2021, replacing LMP1, due to the very high costs and wasn't financially viable for the mamufacturers.
In 2023, we had a convergence rule between ACO and IMSA, and with that LMH and LMDh prototypes can compete together at the Hypercar class.
In this class, only profissessional drivers can compete and the bronze rated drivers are not allowded to drive at the Hypercars.
